I've encountered a dream killer today and was affected by it to the bone. That's how I found this blog. Everything you said makes sense and it's extremely helpful. The person I was trying to hire to help me with my dream put me down by saying that I'm barely a beginner trying to tackle something advanced, which I already knew, that's why I'm looking for a teacher. Then she said, I don't know if you could do it. Then I had to say thank you for coming, but we won't be working together. She continued on arguing " should I lie to you?" And I said, I don't ask for your truth because your truth is irrelevant. I needed someone who can help me achieve my dream and learn what I need to learn. Your truth is not helping, it is only spreading doubts. She clearly was protecting her comfort zone because she never attempted as a professional what I'm attempting as an amateur. So she needed to bring me down from my clouds!

I’ll keep it in mind”. Because if you then intend to violate your own statement about keeping it in mind, by promptly forgetting it, then it’s an (unnecessary) lie. Any time we break our word about something there is a reaction from the universe, is all.
